Just like most of Indians and people around the World, Nokia was my first mobile phone. I distinctly remember it was a Nokia 3310, one of the most popular, rigid, durable and long lasting phone ever made. Once I lost it during one of journeys, the next phone was again a Nokia 1600 with color display and nice ringtones. Before getting into HTC and Blackberry, Nokia 6233 was the last Nokia I used.
It is sad that once microsoft takes over the devices business there wont be an Phone with Nokia brand name though there will be lumia and other brand names carried forward. It would be an end to a way of life for first generation mobile users like me. The next generation would hardly be exposed to the pioneer of Mobile devices.
Nokia could have saved its legacy by keeping up pace with Android and Touch phone revolution but luck & lack of research got better of it. Hopefully Microsoft will carry on the great legacy and give the workforce an opportunity to prove themselves.
